Singaporean actress Le Xuan revealed that many actresses in the republic were asked to “sleep” with directors in exchange for better movie or drama roles, reported Sin Chew Daily, which reproduced the story from a Singaporean paper.

The 30-year-old said directors would ask female actresses and models to “do it”.

She added that it was not a rule in the film industry but most actresses knew about it.

Le Xuan also said many new artistes would sleep with directors to advance their careers.
